Ladonia is conveniently located less than 80 miles north east of Dallas, at the south east corner of Fannin County, with easy access to the neighboring counties of Hunt, Delta and Lamar. The City of Ladonia election will be held on May 6, 2017 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ladonia City Hall, 100 Center Plaza, Ladonia, TX. Early voting period is Monday, April 24, 2017 through Tuesday, May 2, 2017 during normal business hours from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. City Hall will be open for early voting on Thursday, April 27 and Tuesday, May 2 from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.
The City of Ladonia has vacancies for three (3) two-year terms and one vacancy for one (1) one-year unexpired term. Two-year terms ending are currently held by Dana Cuba, Gary Nichols and Jan Cooper. One-year unexpired term was left vacant by resignation of Cheryl Seilhan.
Those running for City Council for the three (3) two-year terms are:
Jan Cooper, Gary Nichols, Lily Wolfe and Dana Cuba. Those running for the one (1) one-year unexpired term are: Pat Harrod and Karen Yates.
